Fàbregas: la necessitat de lluitar, la vocació de saber (aproximació a un compromís intel·lectual)
Abstract
The reserved spirit of Fabregas was an attitude he adopted to defend his radical independence with regard to movements and groups around him. Fabregas "tends towards progressive positions which program the break of the politic and cultural schemes his generation had grown up with". But this does not hinder him from his constant defence as a not organic intellectual.
This article wants to analyse the ideological and cultural commitments of a man who turned the "theatrical struggle" into the main vehicle of expression of his private civic struggle.
The support and leadership represented by Fabregas with regard to the independent theatre, the review of old cultural statements, his commitment with the Catalan culture and language, his critical analysis elaborated under a Marxist point of view, they all are elements that confirm an unclassifiable personality.
This article wants to help to define the absolute coherence of this militant intellectual, scarcely speculative.
